Granite Features
Granite features can provide a strong architectural presence within residential & commercial landscapes. Above Grade Landscape & Design incorporates granite into benches, walls, steps, columns, mailboxes, light poles, edging, water features & custom architectural installations.

Granite can be used for both large structural features and smaller accents. A substantial granite retaining wall can anchor a sloped property, while a granite bench can create permanent seating beside a garden or patio. Granite steps can establish a formal entrance, while a granite mailbox can turn an ordinary roadside feature into a distinctive architectural element.
Reclaimed granite introduces additional texture and weathering, making it useful for traditional New England landscapes. Newly fabricated granite can provide cleaner lines for more contemporary designs. Both can be combined with natural stone, brick, timber, pavers & landscaping.
The placement of granite matters as much as the material itself. Large pieces need to be scaled appropriately to the property and surrounding architecture. We consider sightlines, circulation, color, texture & proportion when determining where a granite element will have the greatest impact.

Granite can also be used to establish visual continuity. Repeating the same stone in steps, walls and seating can make separate portions of a landscape feel connected.
Whether the project involves one custom granite feature or a complete stone-based landscape, Above Grade Landscape & Design focuses on creating balanced installations. Serving Manchester, NH & surrounding areas, we use granite to provide permanence, character & practical value throughout residential and commercial properties.
